The President of Mongolia, U. Khurelsukh, addressed the entrepreneurs of the two countries: “In order to reduce the negative effects of global climate change and contribute to the global food supply, Mongolia is initiating and implementing the national movements “Billion Trees” and “Food Supply and Security” in Mongolia. The mutually beneficial cooperation between Mongolia and France, especially France’s knowledge, experience, advanced technology, innovation, and investment is important when ensuring the successful execution of these economically vital national programs. The primary objective of the forum is to elevate cooperation to a new level.
Furthermore, the opening speeches were delivered Mrs. Olivia Gregorie, Minister of Small and Medium Industry, Trade, Creative Industry, and Tourism of the Government of BNFU, Enkhtuvshin.D, President of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Claude Imauwen, the head of the France-Mongolian Business Council within the French Enterprises Movement.
Davaabayar. Ch , Advisor to the President of Mongolia on Industry and Services Policy, expressed, “The ‘Mongolia-France Business Forum’ and ‘Wealth Builder-Business Tour in France’ events, conducted during the President of Mongolia’s visit to France, are collaborative endeavors uniting entrepreneurs from both nations. It is crucial to develop our joint efforts to a new level. To effectively implement the ‘Food Revolution’ in Mongolia, it’s imperative to study international standards and best practices adopted by countries with advanced food and agricultural production, including those with highly developed sectors. In the future, we plan to regularly organize international business tours for entrepreneurs. Following these events, we will prepare and present a series of programs to educate the public on international experiences and cooperation in the development of the food and agriculture sector, tourism, and foreign trade. This next series of programs will begin in Hanoi, Vietnam, on November 1, 2023.”
Enkhtuvshin. D, President of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, underlined, “For Mongolia, France is regarded as a third neighbor and a key partner within the European Union. The focal point of our bilateral collaboration lies in the mutually advantageous joint endeavors and programs undertaken by our business communities. Numerous sectors of France’s economy, particularly the current level and standards of development within agriculture, tourism, and energy, offer valuable benchmarks for Mongolian entrepreneurs to study. There is a strong interest in broadening trade and investment cooperation in these domains.”
Entrepreneurs delivered presentations covering a range of subjects, including the economy, investment, modern agricultural practices, collaboration prospects, the outlook for the renewable energy sector, information technology, climate change, and open innovation.
Over 300 entrepreneurs from both nations representing various sectors such as food, agriculture, mining, energy, construction, industry, banking, technology, and more actively participated in the “Mongolian-French Business Forum,” engaging in valuable discussions and exchanging insights.
Subsequently, the event extended to include the “Wealth Creator – Business Tour in France.” During this tour, Mongolian entrepreneurs had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with and gain knowledge about French enterprises operating in the food, agriculture, energy, and technology sectors. This interaction allowed national producers to gain insights into the operations of French businesses in the corresponding sectors.
Entrepreneurs noted that the business tour was a successful platform to identify suitable partners for business expansion and development. French entrepreneurs expressed their appreciation to Mongolian wealth creators who were actively seeking opportunities for collaboration, stating, “When engaging with Mongolian counterparts, our aim is to foster a strong business partnership rather than mere investment. We look forward to successfully executing numerous new projects together. “
The event was a collaborative effort organized by the Office of the President of Mongolia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Mongolian Embassy in Paris, the Enterprises Movement of BNFU, and the Franco-Mongolian Business Council.
