During Khurelsukh. U, president of Mongolia’s official visit to France, concurrent business trips are being organized with the aim of empowering domestic producers and wealth generators. The objectives include gaining fresh insights, knowledge, and enhancing access to international markets.
As a part of the “Wealth Builder-Business Tour,” which is now in its 8th iteration, the participating producers paid a visit to the “La Bergerie Nationale” training center, renowned for its training of French food and agricultural professionals.
The business trip was led by Davaabayar. Ch, adviser to the President.
In 1786, Louis XVI founded this training center with the aim of strengthening France’s food and agricultural sector, and it has remained in operation to the present day. As a result, the institution has absorbed the comprehensive expertise and knowledge of France’s agricultural sector over the years.
The training center currently enrolls 420 students in the age range of 15-22, who are pursuing specialized education in areas such as animal breeding, medicine, and equestrian sports. 70 percent of the students reside on campus in accommodation facilities. Additionally, 85 percent of all graduates find employment immediately upon completing their studies, while the remaining graduates choose to further their education.
La Bergerie Nationale is overseen by the French Ministry of Agriculture, and the Directorate General for Education and Research (BGER). The institution is led by a director appointed by the Minister of Agriculture. While foreign students are not commonly enrolled at the center, there is a willingness to foster collaboration with Mongolia and potentially send French students to study in Mongolia as an expression of educational cooperation.
